Leah Calder, PA-C

Leah is a Dermatology Physician Assistant and has worked in Dermatology for over 20 years. She is originally from Flowood, MS and attended Delta State University where she obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Physiology. She went on to attend Emory University, in Atlanta, GA, where she earned a Master of Medical Science in Physician Assistant studies in 2004. Following her degree, she obtained certification through the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.

After graduation, Leah trained with Board-Certified Dermatologists and Mohs surgeons in the Atlanta area and specialized in general dermatology with an emphasis in dermatologic surgery. She practiced in Atlanta for 5 years before returning home to the Flowood area with her husband in 2010. She then spent 14 years practicing general, cosmetic and surgical Dermatology at Belle Meade Dermatology. She currently practices at River City Skin and Aesthetics in Vicksburg, MS as well as The Dermatology Clinic in Gulfport, MS.

Outside of daily practice, Leah is passionate about being a strong advocate for Physician Assistants in Mississippi, and she served as former President of the Mississippi Academy of Physician Assistants. She also enjoys teaching – she has held a position as Adjunct Faculty in the Physician Assistant program at Mississippi College and loves precepting Physician Assistant students in her current practice!
